Welcome to the May edition of the Newton Abbot & Totnes Fencing club newsletter.
Well this month is going to be short but succinct newsletter.
The main thing is ‘Are we all okay and copping out there ?’
Message from our Jan, B.A.F.,
‘Now that this Coronavirus, is with us all, it’s obvious that we will not be meeting at the fencing club for some time to come, so we all need to keep our legs in Fencing trim.
I would like to suggest the following routine to be done twice or three times weekly. Starting from standing, bend your legs so that your thighs are parallel to the floor, keeping your heels to the floor, repeat these 4 times, then perform your lunges, count this as 1 set. To achieve the full benefit, 4 or 5 sets should be done.
I suggest that you should rest for about 2 minutes between each set.
So, Keep lunging and may the force be with you all.’

Subs! Thanks everyone that so far no one has cancelled their standing order. Great that we have such confidence that one day we shall be back on the piste fighting each other! Hopefully it will not be too long.
For myself I have been practicing some nasty little tactics that are OK against a tennis ball, but against a real person, might well prove to be another matter.
When though we do come back, I will out the sub each person has paid during the lock down period and be making refunds by BACS. Any queries on that: email@example.com
